der Tschechischen Republik und der Republik Ungarn
Vom 6. April 1998
Der Bundestag hat das folgende Gesetz beschlossen:
Artikel 1
Den in Brüssel am 16. Dezember 1997 von der Bundesrepublik Deutschland unterzeichneten Protokollen zum Nordatlantikvertrag über den Beitritt der Republik Polen, der Tschechischen Republik und der Republik Ungarn wird zugestimmt. Die Protokolle werden nachstehend mit einer amtlichen deutschen Übersetzung veröffentlicht.
Artikel 2
(1) Dieses Gesetz tritt am Tage nach seiner Verkündung in Kraft.
(2) Die Tage, an denen die Protokolle nach ihrem Artikel II in Kraft treten, sind im Bundesgesetzblatt bekanntzugeben.
Die verfassungsmäßigen Rechte des Bundesrates sind gewahrt.
Das vorstehende Gesetz wird hiermit ausgefertigt und wird im Bundesgesetzblatt verkündet.

The Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty, signed at Washington on April 4, 1949,
Being satisfied that the security of the North Atlantic area will be enhanced by the accession of the Republic of Poland to that Treaty,
Agree as follows:
Article I
Upon the entry into force of this Protocol, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization shall, on behalf of all the Parties, communicate to the Government of the Republic of Poland an invitation to accede to the North Atlantic Treaty. In accordance with Article 10 of the Treaty, the Republic of Poland shall become a Party on the date when it deposits its instrument of accession with the Government of the United States of America.
Article II
The present Protocol shall enter into force when each of the Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty has notified the Government of the United States of America of its acceptance thereof. The Government of the United States of America shall inform all the Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty of the date of receipt of each such notification and of the date of the entry into force of the present Protocol.
Article III
The present Protocol, of which the Eng-lish and French texts are equally authentic, shall be deposited in the archives of the Government of the United States of America. Duly certified copies thereof shall be transmitted by that Government to the Govemments of all the Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty.

Traite de lAtlantique Nord enverra, au nom de toutes les Parties, au Gouvernement de la Republique de Pologne une invitation ä adherer au Traite de lAtlantique Nord. Conformement ä lArticIe 10 du Traite, la Republique de Pologne deviendra Partie ä ce Traite ä la date du depöt de son instrument daccession aupres du Gouvernement des Etats-Unis dAmerique.^
Article II
Le present Protocole entrera en vigueur lorsque toutes les Parties au Traite de lAtlantique Nord auront notifie leur approba-tion au Gouvernement des Etats-Unis dAmerique. Le Gouvernement des Etats-Unis dAmerique informera toutes les Parties au Traite de lAtlantique Nord de la date de reception de chacune de ces noti-fications et de la date dentree en vigueur du present Protocole.
Article III
Le present Protocole, dont les textes en francais et anglais fönt egalement foi, sera depose dans les archives du Gouvernement des Etats-Unis dAmerique. Des copies certifiees conformes seront trans-mises par celui-ci aux Gouvernements de toutes les autres Parties au Traite de lAtlantique Nord.

in der Überzeugung, daß die Sicherheit des nordatlantischen Gebiets durch den Beitritt der Republik Polen zu diesem Vertrag erhöht wird -
sind wie folgt übereingekommen:
Artikel I
Mit Inkrafttreten dieses Protokolls übermittelt der Generalsekretär der Nordatlan-tikvertrags-Organisation im Namen aller Vertragsparteien der Regierung der Republik Polen eine Einladung, dem Nordatlantikvertrag beizutreten. In Übereinstimmung mit Artikel 10 des Vertrags wird die Republik Polen Vertragspartei an dem Tag, an dem sie ihre Beitrittsurkunde bei der Regierung der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika hinterlegt.
Artikel II
Dieses Protokoll tritt in Kraft, wenn jede der Vertragsparteien des Nordatlantikvertrags der Regierung der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika die Annahme des Protokolls notifiziert hat. Die Regierung der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika teilt allen Vertragsparteien des Nordatlantikvertrags den Tag des Eingangs jeder solchen Notifikation sowie den Tag des Inkrafttretens dieses Protokolls mit.
Artikel III
Dieses Protokoll, dessen englischer und französischer Wortlaut gleichermaßen verbindlich ist, wird im Archiv der Regierung der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika hinterlegt. Diese übermittelt den Regierungen aller Vertragsparteien des Nordatlantikvertrags gehörig beglaubigte Abschriften.

Agree as follows:

Upon the entry into force of this Protocol, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization shall, on behalf of all the Parties, communicate to the Government of the Czech Republic an invitation to accede to the North Atlantic Treaty. In accordance with Articie 10 of the Treaty, the Czech Republic shall become a Party on the date when it deposits its instrument of accession with the Government of the United States of America.
